Artist Statement

My process begins with an observation followed by a curiosity. Typically the subject of my work begins as a personal experience that once I am aware of, I explore from a distance to gain a greater perspective. From this viewpoint, I search for the patterns and cycles that not only affect myself, but the collective. How I communicate my observations has shifted over the years and through different mediums. Lately my focus is printmaking, so symbolic imagery plays heavily in my work.
